Hand Boiler

Glass hand boiler that demonstrates Charles's Law; that describes how gases tend to expand when heated. A modern statement of Charles's law is: When the pressure on a sample of a dry gas is held constant, the Kelvin temperature and the volume will be in direct proportion.

The liquid inside boils from the heat of human touch and expands forcing it upwards through the loop in the glass. This science experiment in the palm of your hand is not only educational but also fun to play with and mesmerizing to observe.
